Diablo 4 and PoE2 Killer, Crystalfall, Has Shut Down
But There’s a Nice Detail
CRG Studio has announced the end of support for the online action game Crystalfall. The servers go offline on July 16, 2026 — devs say a small team couldn’t keep up with the demands of a complex multiplayer RPG (I don’t blame them; live ops can eat you alive, esp. for indie teams).
The project itself isn’t being deleted. A free offline single-player build will remain available on Steam. Anyone who already added the game to their library will still be able to play it, but there’s a catch: you must log in online before July 16 and convert your character(s) to offline via the hero selection menu.
Once switched to single-player, expect some limitations: no trading and no leaderboards (w/o those online features). On the plus side, paid content and inventory expansions will be unlocked for purchase using normal in-game currency.
