Fallout, the role-playing franchise from Bethesda Game Studios that also inspired a Prime Video series, has been adapted into a line of pinball machines released by Stern Pinball, one of the largest game machine manufacturers in the USA. Three configurations are available to order:
- Pro Edition – $7,299
- Premium Edition – $10,699
- Limited Edition – $13,999
The Limited Edition is capped at 770 units worldwide — a nod to the Great War of 2077 that sets the series’ post-apocalyptic backdrop.
Players select one of three playable characters — Lucy Maclain, Ghoul, or Maximus — and use a built-in "Pip-Boy" on the cabinet to view mode information and to hack computer terminals during a session. The playfield is decorated with franchise staples such as Vault Boy, power armor, Nuka-Cola, and vault jumpsuits.
Shooting and combat mechanics are central to the design. A multi-axis "Fat Man" launcher integrates with the V.A.T.S. targeting system to feed balls into an upper target gallery, and other novel mechanical elements appear across the playfield.

The multi-axis "Fat Man" pinball launcher with the "Vault-Tech" (V.A.T.S.) auto-targeting system, battle mechanics inspired by the video game, launches balls into a target gallery on the upper playfield.
A spinner shaped like a Nuka-Cola cap demonstrates a first-of-its-kind mechanical up-and-down motion, and a mutated inverted upper flipper provides a mechanical innovation unseen in pinball since before the Great War.
Additional features include a mechanical vault blast door that opens to allow players to explore underground secrets, a deathclaw figure with bouncing and taunting functions, and a lower vault playfield based on Magna-Flip magnetic technology delivering dynamic kinetic action and excitement.
Progression in the machine mimics RPG systems: the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes can be upgraded to level ten, unlocking exclusive modes for each of the three heroes. Player achievements persist between sessions via the Stern Insider Connected platform.
The machines incorporate video material from the first and second seasons of the Prime Video series as well as assets from the original games. Some dialogue was newly recorded for the pinball release by Johnny Pemberton, who plays Thaddeus.
Separately, the TV series has been renewed for a third season following the second season finale. Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Manny Jacinto (Star Wars, The Good Place) are set to join the cast; only that the new season’s action will occur in a different location has so far been announced.
