Florence Pugh May Appear in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day"

The Marvel character Florence Pugh portrays, Yelena Belova — one of the "Thunderbolts" — might show up in the forthcoming Spider-Man picture.

That hint came from Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, as reported here.

He spoke directly to fans of Yelena, suggesting they keep an eye on the next Avengers entry because the character figures into "Doctor Doom." At the same time, he left a door ajar for an earlier appearance.

"If you are a fan of Yelena, wait for the 'Avengers,' she has an important role there. But if you don't want to wait, you might see her in a movie earlier," Feige said.

Feige's comment reads like a tease — e.g., a cameo, a post‑credits beat, or something brief that still matters. Since Marvel only has one release before the new "Avengers," that single title is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, so it's the most obvious place to look for her.

Remember: the Spider-Man movie opens on July 31. The next "Avengers" arrives on December 18.
