Michael Fassbender may star in the next film by the director of "The Brutalist"

Variety says Michael Fassbender ("Inglourious Basterds") is in talks to lead Brady Corbet’s next feature. The tentative title floating around is The Origin of the World. Corbet, who previously said the plot will span the 19th c.–present, seems to be aiming for a broad timeline rather than a single-era piece. Casting buzz also points to Selena Gomez ("Only Murders in the Building") joining the cast; for now, though, none of it is officially confirmed.
