A new trailer for the upcoming Ascendance expansion of Monster Hunter Wilds has been released, with a focus on weapon enhancements.
The footage highlights an upgraded Charge Blade mode in which attacks will inflict both energy and elemental damage while also instantly charging phials. Enhanced strikes are shown with vivid visual effects, and the weapon itself visibly transforms and grows much larger during these sequences.
Monster Hunter Wilds, which launched in early 2025, remains actively supported with updates. At Summer Game Fest 2026, the developers announced that Ascendance is scheduled to arrive in 2027.
So far, CAPCOM has confirmed that the expansion will bring new monsters and continue the game's storyline, but has not provided further specifics.
Earlier promotional material for the expansion included a trailer showcasing the "Enhancement" mode received a trailer, as well as a video demonstrating additional content.
