Company Square Enix says operating profit for the first quarter jumped by 88.6%. Video-game revenue, meanwhile, rose about 51.8%.
The filings point to big help from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales — console sellers that kept income steady, apparently.
Other pockets of growth showed up too: HD titles, MMOs, and mobile/browser projects, e.g., some older catalogs and new launches. Final Fantasy XIV drew more players and higher revenue; Square Enix is actively funding expansions to keep that momentum. On mobile, Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Smash/Grow were singled out as notable performers.
It was earlier announced that Square Enix will be at Tokyo Game Show 2026 — organizers are already calling it the largest in history.
