The creators of Genshin Impact have announced that the major 7.1 update, titled "Requiem of the Afterlife", will arrive on September 23, bringing the confrontation with the Death Mistress.
"The Realm of Death is created from rules that are beyond mortals. At its gates stand those whose hearts are full of love or hatred: emotions over which even death has no power."
Alongside the new storyline, the update will introduce additional Archon quests (finishing the final quest will grant five-star characters, 1600 Primogems, and more), new trials on Dragonspine and in Natlan, and two new five-star playable characters:
- Spring — An Anemo character with a one-handed weapon;
- Watermill — A Hydro character with a Catalyst.
