Early owners say a full run can easily exceed 300 hrs. One of them logged 305 hrs total and claimed roughly 60 hrs were eaten up by insect-hunting and fishing alone. He also mentioned that, with new guides and datamines, that grind can be cut down to about 130–150 hrs (so: prep up front = big time save).
A couple of practical notes from those veterans: the jackal trophy that requires enemies wearing a bear-skin helmet is best tackled early on. Move your camp to Pailun and the merchant swap means the rare helmet might only drop from mobs — and then at an annoyingly low rate, i.e., expect some serious farming if you wait.
