Preload of Legend of YMIR Started Ahead of April 7 Release

Wemade pushed the preload for the MMORPG Legend of YMIR to Steam before the official April 7, 2026 launch.

The initial download is tiny — 0.6 GB — but that’s just a stub. Once you boot it you’ll need to dl the main client, roughly 14.7 GB, so plan disk space accordingly.

The Valve-store build runs on dedicated srv and won’t offer cross-play with other platforms. Also, because of Valve’s rules, any blockchain features have been stripped from this release.

A major update accompanies the launch, introducing the Rune Fighter. It’s a class that shifts between up-close swordplay, rune-based defensive effects and abilities that buff teammates. According to the devs, the PC content mirrors the mobile versions exactly.

Odd little rollout detail: the Steam page lists an April 5 release and already shows initial reviews as "mixed" (61%). Apparently 18 people made it into the servers early; others saw the page/activity and, thinking they were locked out, hit "dislike."
