The Star Wars franchise still grabs attention decades on. Per Nielsen, Americans clocked 550 million hours of Star Wars content across TV and streaming in 2025.

Feature films remained the dominant draw — about 44.2% of that total. Live-action offerings took 38.9%, while animation accounted for 16.8%; documentaries were essentially negligible at 0.2%.

Top movie? A New Hope. Surprisingly to some, The Phantom Menace landed second and Rogue One came in third. For series, Andor led the way with roughly 7.4B mins of viewing (7.4 billion mins — i.e., 7.4B mins), followed by Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and The Mandalorian.

On May 4, 2025 (Star Wars Day), total viewing hit 637 million minutes — about 10.6M hrs (637M mins ≈ 10.6M hrs) — with Andor again topping demand.
