Reports indicate a build of the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine game from Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games has leaked online, but hacked PlayStation 5 consoles cannot currently run it.
Twitter/X user master_s9 says they have access to the leaked build and shared details about it. According to their claims, the file is 102.5 GB and requires PS5 firmware version 13.60 to run. That means hacked consoles will be unable to launch the game until either a jailbreak for the newer firmware appears or someone ports the build to an older, already-jailbroken firmware.
To back up the claim, master_s9 posted a short video showing the game installed on a PS5. The clip demonstrates that, although the title is installed, it cannot be started — the usual "Play" label on the game icon is replaced with "View Product".
Whether modders can make this leaked build work on jailbreakable firmware before the official release — which is scheduled to arrive in just over a week — remains unclear. As for how the build leaked, the likely explanations include a retailer prematurely revealing the release or several physical copies being stolen.
