Enthusiast Showed What GTA 5 Might Look Like with NVIDIA DLSS 5

Aillusory, a YouTube creator, uploaded a fan-made clip that imagines GTA 5 under the influence of NVIDIA DLSS 5. Using AI tools to remake frames and textures, the video tries to approximate the upscale and reconstruction DLSS 5 promises—e.g., sharper faces, cleaner edges—though not every shot holds together. Background geometry occasionally jitters or blurs during motion; still, much of the footage reads as coherent for long stretches.

The sequence focuses on the opening moments: Michael De Santa at his therapist and the start of Franklin’s mission. The "reimagined" characters mirror their in-game 3D models closely enough that you can tell who’s who, i.e., facial features and proportions remain recognizable. It’s a useful peek at what DLSS 5-style processing might yield in sampled clips, but take it as a concept demo rather than proof of flawless, real-time performance.

Nvidia announced that DLSS 5 will be released in fall 2026. The first games to support it will be AION 2, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Black State, CINDER CITY, Delta Force, Hogwarts Legacy, Justice, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, NTE: Neverness to Everness, Resident Evil Requiem, Sea of Remnants, Starfield, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and Where Winds Meet.
