HistoryAccurateDevelopers studio has pushed out its first sizable story expansion for the parody action title Yasuke Simulator, sending the game deeper into its weird reimagining of samurai epics.
On Steam, Yasuke Simulator will be released — a fan response to Assassin's Creed: Shadows
The Steam blurb says the DLC brings 10 extra chapters to the main campaign. Set in 1582, it dramatizes the last moves of Oda Nobunaga’s push against the Takeda — i.e., the endgame of that conflict — and drops players into Kai Province to meet new locations and foes.
Among the key features of the update, the developers highlight:
- Ten new story chapters.
- Exploration of Kai Province and Takeda lands.
- New cutscenes that expand Yasuke’s arc.
- New enemy types and combat encounters.
- A campaign framed around the 1582 events (Nobunaga vs Takeda).
- Additional music + voice acting.
Yasuke Simulator is an indie project that deliberately plays fast and loose with history — often goofy, sometimes blunt — and players seem to enjoy that tone. Expect close katana fights mixed with firearms, motorcycles, and other oddball choices (e.g., scenes that wink at genre tropes rather than hide them).
