The developers of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege X have released the first teaser for the second season, Operation System Override.
Dokkaebi takes center stage and looks very different — her toolkit has been reworked toward a more aggressive playstyle. In the clip she literally blows a phone out of an enemy’s hand, then finishes the job with gunfire. The gadget’s explosion doesn’t appear to kill on its own; instead it seems to disorient or weaken the target (i.e., it buys her a window to follow up). Oddly enough, that small cinematic change already has people debating whether she’ll be better at clearing rooms or pushing into defended sites.
Fans are talking — some think the new effect will make Dokkaebi a nightmare in assault scenarios, others are more skeptical until patch notes arrive. Beyond the Dokkaebi rework, the season adds a new arena called Calypso Casino. Expect fresh weapons to show up and a number of older maps to get updates, plus a few QoL tweaks here and there (e.g., UI polish, balance adjustments). Whether these changes improve the game flow or just shake things up briefly remains to be seen.
