Today saw the long-awaited rollout of the largest expansion yet for the global branch of Throne and Liberty. Titled The Frozen Divide: Nix, the patch drops a vast icy region — Nix — which, by map size alone, tops everything that came before. New level cap: 60. New loot and dungeons arrive, and movement gets a twist: unique mechanics, e.g., a magical suit that lets you glide at high speed across frozen surfaces.
The headline weapon is a pair of gauntlets that blur roles (i.e., they let a character toggle between a heavy, defensive stance and a claw-driven, up-close offensive mode). PvP players haven’t been forgotten: the Remnants of Nix zone mixes PvP and PvE content into the same space. Servers are back up now, so anyone curious can drop in and try the cold — I did for a short stint, and it felt both vast and a little unforgiving.
