The creators of the zombie shooter No More Room in Hell 2 have shared a rundown of what lands in the game once it leaves early access. The full release is scheduled for today.

Expect weekly tasks to roll in, plus an entire bunker with its own quest on the new Raven Rock map and a proper tutorial section. Heads-up: account progress will be reset — though early access participants get in-game rewards as a nod to their support.

In v1.0 you can go solo, but don’t expect progress to stick (i.e., solo runs won’t save grind). There’s also a new "Survival" mode: gather resources, hold off waves, and move between map points; only after repelling three assaults is the run considered a success.

Difficulty got reworked. Higher tiers throw a wider mix of enemies and nastier scenarios at you; on the flip side, characters earn more XP. It’s a tug-of-war between harder threats and steeper rewards — e.g., risk vs. payoff feels more pronounced now.

The team tweaked the in-game economy and added items, including a rescue beacon that triggers evacuation when activated. There’s also a system for buying stuff with alternative currencies, so you’ll see more paths to gear up (alt. purchases, etc.).

The shooter first hit early access in the summer of 2024. Steam reviews have been mixed: players praise the melancholic tone and the amount of content added, yet many keep calling out unstable servers and connection issues — which, honestly, is a pretty big caveat.

With the full version rolling out, No More Room in Hell 2 will also appear on PS5 and Xbox Series.
