Public testing for a big update has begun in the survival game Dune: Awakening; the release for PC and consoles is scheduled for September 22, 2026. The standout change is a full single-player mode — wander the planet without the pressure of multiplayer, i.e., at your own rhythm. Survival rules are flexible: use presets or customize things manually, e.g., sandstorm frequency, item wear, and how often sandworms show up. The main menu got an overhaul too, with faster character switching, a stats viewer, and support for moving heroes to private servers. You can poke at the new features on the test server now, or wait for the official patch on all platforms.
