More pals — and a hint of circus chaos. Pocketpair's devs have started lifting the curtain on what they call the studio's biggest update ever. John Buckley, the Global Communications Manager, introduced one of the newcomers: Dupin, a jester-like pal. He’s only a single example of the roster that’s due to arrive with the patch.

The team says this expansion will be record-setting for the bestiary; in Buckley’s words, they prepared more new pals than in any single previous update. Exact figures remain under wraps. Teasers will roll out over the coming weeks, so expect steady drops of info from official channels — and, if you prefer surprises, consider avoiding those posts (FYI: spoilers ahead).

Right now Palworld has nearly 200 creatures. v1.0, scheduled for release on July 10, could change that count considerably. Beyond new pals, the update will add gameplay mechanics, improvements, and extra content intended to set the stage for the full launch after the long early-access run.

I’ll be watching for the reveals — curious to see whether the new pals mix whimsy and menace as well as Dupin does.
