A4 Games used Sony's State of Play showcase to reveal a new gameplay trailer for "Metro 2039", with footage captured on a PS5 Pro. The clip follows the protagonist as they navigate ruined homes and engage hostile forces. The studio confirmed a release date of February 4, and said the game will launch on PC, Xbox Series S/X, and PS5. You can read our impressions from 30 minutes at the link.
Metro 2039 will have competition
Due to GTA VI, we can expect a busy February. After September, this will be the most "packed" month with games. The following blockbusters will also be released:
- Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis — February 12;
- God of War Laufey — February 16;
- Persona 4 Revival — February 18;
- Fable — February 23.
Two of the games on the list are remakes, but they are also heavily advertised. The reimagining of the first Tomb Raider will be a particularly important release. Persona 4 Revival also reworks a popular game, likely showing good sales.
