Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition surfaced on the ESRB with PS5 and Switch 2 listed for a brief moment, i.e., the platforms appeared in the rating description before those entries vanished. Some see that as a simple slip — others think someone posted the info too early.

The remaster arrived on PC and Xbox Series X/S last summer and was added to Xbox Game Pass almost immediately. It tried to freshen things up: 4K visuals and reworked audio (there are over a hundred new orc lines), changes to controls and the UI, plus touched-up character models. The intent was clear; the results felt mixed.

Player reaction leaned negative. Many accused the edition of offering too little for the asking price, and a number of tweaks actually made play less convenient. The “cash‑grab re‑release” tag stuck fast. Sega ended up widening refunds on Steam, giving Anniversary Edition owners a discount for the upgrade, and promising a round of patches to address complaints.

If PS5 and Switch 2 versions do appear, expect fans to demand more than another launch—i.e., a proper corrective update that fixes the issues people still grumble about.
