Amazon Game Studios has revealed a mini-documentary focused on Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. It lands on June 22 and centers on Lara Croft’s exploits in Peru. In the teaser art a small thing stood out — a redesigned Natla Technologies logo, the same corp woven into the original Tomb Raider mythos — and that little tweak already has people debating what it might mean.
The project reimagines the 1996 Core Design/Eidos title rather than just remastering it. It’s being built in UE5 (i.e., Unreal Engine 5), so expect way richer visuals and other technical changes; devs say gameplay and narrative are being refreshed, but “refreshed” can mean a lot of things, right? The story follows Lara again on the hunt for the Scion artifact, crossing several locales and keeping a thread back to the game that started it all — a nod for longtime fans, and a hook for new ones, esp. those who like a modern twist.
