Blizzard has leaked the contents of update 3.1.1 for Diablo IV ahead of its July 14 release. It reads like a large bug-sweep and seasonal tune-up with some small balance nudges — and, somewhat unexpectedly, a few valuable rewards have been made easier to get.
Some specifics from the patch notes:
- In the "Awakening of Death" season a reputation panel appears in Themis.
- Rewards from the Corrupted Reaper are increased.
- Upgrading items to epic quality in the Horadric Cube now costs 4 Pandemonium Shards instead of 5 (i.e., -1 shard).
- At higher difficulties players are guaranteed keys to higher-tier dungeons and receive extra seasonal resources.
Beyond the seasonal changes, the update targets a long list of bugs across classes, seasonal activities, and the main game. Reported fixes touch loot behavior, set effects, item display issues, certain skills’ functioning, and performance problems. The team also bumped up the chance to find an epic item with a known property, and improved client stability plus several visual elements (fps/UI polish, etc.).
Feels likely these adjustments respond to the streamer-related resonance we noted earlier — plausible, if not officially stated.
