Nintendo has officially confirmed it will return to Gamescom in Cologne from August 26 to 30. The company will occupy booths for the entire week, but it hasn’t revealed which titles will be playable.
Last summer Nintendo used the show to emphasize Switch 2 projects; this time fans are hoping for news about Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave and trading whispers of a remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Expectation is high, esp. among European attendees, though Nintendo often keeps the biggest surprises tightly controlled.
Timing matters: on September 1 the Switch 2’s price will climb to $499 due to rising component costs, so Gamescom provides a narrow window to market the console at the pre-increase price and to push new bundles. Whether that will translate into a major sales push or just a bit more booth buzz remains to be seen.
