A viral back-and-forth on social network X (Twitter) between Domino’s Pizza and Santa Monica Studio, triggered by the announcement of God of War Laufey, drew millions of eyeballs and an equally loud chorus of replies.

The UK Domino’s account went for cheeky sarcasm, quipping that a Kratos-less title felt like a “Pepperoni Passion” pizza without pepperoni — a zinger that ppl immediately clipped and reshared. Replies piled up fast, often ironic or mock-sympathetic; tbh, it looked less like a PR moment and more like a roast. Santa Monica’s answer was deliberately frosty: a curt “thanks for the feedback,” which only fed another meme cycle (developers boycotting fast food, anyone?). Then David Jaffe — the franchise creator — chimed in with criticism of the project, which predictably stoked the debate even more.
