The developers of the ambitious action RPG Wang Yue (望月) are gearing up for the second closed beta (CB2), and fresh gameplay clips have started appearing online. These new videos don’t just update the old footage — they underline how far the project has moved since its first reveals, though a few rough edges remain.
What grabs attention first is the visual overhaul: a sprawling modern metropolis, busy traffic, neon signboards, tightly packed blocks. The city feels lived-in, with small touches that stick in the eye (esp. the lighting and distant traffic flow). At points the camera lingers on façades and alleyways that would’ve been generic in earlier builds. Movement seems central. Players zip along on motorcycles, leap between rooftops, strap on jet skates, and use parkour to scale walls in a beat — fast, kinetic, messy in a good way. It’s the sort of vertical, free-form traversal that makes you want to try a single run, then another; for better or worse, it looks designed to let players improvise.
